There are many ways to celebrate this special month of graduation (毕业).You can have photos taken with your classmates and teachers,or dine out together and exchange gifts.

We walked in so quietly that the nurse at the desk didn’t even lift her eyes from the book.Mum pointed at a big chair by the door and I knew she wanted me to sit down. She took off her hat and coat and gave them to me and walked quietly to the small room by the lift and took out a wet mop (拖把).She pushed the mop past the desk and as the nurse looked up,Mum nodded and said,“Very dirty floors.”
“Yes.I’m glad they’ve finally decided to clean them,” the nurse answered. She looked at Mum strangely and said,“But aren’t you working late?”
Mum just pushed farther and farther down the hall.I watched until she was out of sight and the nurse had turned back to writing in the book.
After a long time Mum came back. Her eyes were shining. She quickly put the mop back and took my hand.As we turned to go out of the door,Mum nodded politely to the nurse and said,“Thank you.”
Outside,Mum told me, “Dagmar is fine.No fever.”
“You saw her,Mum?”
“Of course.I told her about the hospital rules, and she will not expect us until tomorrow.Dad will stop worrying as well. It’s a fine hospital. But such floors! A mop is no good. You need a brush.”

If cars had wings, they could fly and that just might happen, beginning in 2011.The company Terrafugia, based in Woburn, Massachusetts, says it plans to deliver its car-plane, the Transition, to customers by the end of 2011.
“It’s the next ‘wow’vehicle,” said Terrafugia vice president Richard Gersh.“ Anybody can buy a Ferrari, but as we say, Ferraris don’t fly.”
The car-plane has wings that unfold for flying-a process the company says takes one minute-and fold back up for driving.A runway is still required to take off and land.
The Transition is being marketed more as a plane that drives than a car that flies, although it is both. The company has been working with FAA to meet aircraft regulations, and with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to meet vehicle safety regulations.
The company is aiming to sell the Transition to private pilots as a more convenient and cheaper way to fly. They say it saves you the trouble from trying to find another mode of transportation to get to and from airports:You drive the car to the airport and then you’re good to go.When you land, you fold up the wings and hit the road. There are no expensive parking fees because you don’t have to store it at an airport-you park it in the garage at home.
The car-plane is designed to fly primarily under 10,000 feet.It has a maximum take-off weight of 1,430 pounds, including fuel and passengers.Terrafugia says the Transition reduces the potential for an accident by allowing pilots to drive under the bad weather instead of flying into marginal(临界的) conditions.
The Transition’s price tag: $ 194,000.But there may be additional charges for options like a radio, a transponder or a GPS.Another option is a full-plane parachute.
“If you get into a very awful situation, it is the necessary safety option,” Gersh said.
So far, the company has more than 70 orders with deposits.“We’re working very closely with them, but there are still some remaining steps,” Brown said.

Dear students,
In the last thirty years, great changes have taken place in the way the farmers work in the fields in China.
In the past, they had to use oxen or horses to help them to plough the soil. Also, they had to gather crops with sickles at harvest time because there were no machines available.
However, nowadays things are quite different from what they were. Today, the farmers use machines to turn over the soil and sow the seeds. In the harvest season, they also use machines to help them. The time of modernization is coming.
The modern equipment has made farming much easier and the farmers’ lives more enjoyable! It has saved a lot of labors and time.
