Yesterday, our teacher asked us when a man could be referred as an old man. David stood up and said people with wrinkles could be called old people, However, Mary didn’t 31 , for some people may gain wrinkles at an earlier age owing to their 32 work. Then Lily expressed her idea that those reaching their 60s or more could be called old people. This time, Emily expressed her 33 that some old people may still be energetic and trying to pursue their dreams, which makes them appear 34 . The class was over and we still didn’t reach any 35 , so the teacher asked us to think about it after class.
The 36 has reminded me of the saying of J. Barrymore that a man isn’t old as long as he is 37 something.
My grandma is such a woman who pursues her dream 38 when she’s 70 now. She has 39 her dream of being a painter since she was a little child. 40 , because her family was poor, she had to 41 her dream and stepped into the 42 to raise money so as to support her family. Though she has 43 abandoned her dream, she could hardly find any 44 to realize it because of the tough work. 45 , chance came when she retired from her work. She began taking her painting lessons 46 she had all-white hair and lots of wrinkles. At first, I was 47 her idea of attending school at so old an age, but after seeing her paint happily and enjoyably, I 48 feeling it a good choice. She seems energetic and 49 fine.
So if we have our dreams and seek for them, we aren’t old. It’s when we don’t know what we want and let 50 be the center point of our lives that we can finally be regarded as the old.

Culture shock is a complex topic, but I'm a simple man with simple perspectives. So my experience of foreign culture boils down to three basic stages: anger, acceptance and appreciation.
When I began my life in China I was often filled with frustration and 1 over the way things were. Things were seen as clearly “ 2 ” and I rejected the view of there being other ways of doing things. Afterwards I came to 3 different ways of doing things but still saw my own ways as superior.
My views were still heavily colored by 4 and I often accepted situations I felt 5 by simply coining the phrase "That's China," 6 China was a backward country that simply didn't do things correctly. Finally, however , I came to understand and appreciate the new 7 and ways of doing things, sometimes using them as effectively as the 8 .
For example, fish is never 9 with the head in my country, thus my feelings went from “Ugh! I can’t eat this! The fish is 10 at me saying, `You're a 11 man.' Take this off the table,” to “I’ll let my friends enjoy, but I'll just stick with the other dishes,” and to "Would anyone mind if I eat the eyeball?"
It is not the same with every westerner, and some take 12 than others to go through the three stages. It all depends on how 13 you are and how tightly you 14 to your own culture. It took a little over a year of living in China before I finally appreciate the new culture. Now, I'm more 15 in China than in my own country.
